Tag You're It!

Better late than never!  Blame it on Robbin she made me get a baby picture.  Since I had to pull them out I thought I would post a few.  I wanted to see how this would feel since I need to get ready to post those pictures for my waiting weeks...  And Kristine also tagged me so this is for both of them.  I'm not sure it's because I'm interesting like my friend Laura, or because I'm funny...ha ha.  Well, let's see if I can come up with any semi-interesting and hilarious things about me that I haven't said before.
  1. When I moved into my house the basement was not finished, it was dark, dank and I was afraid to go down there...well not until I had an I-chingist come do some mojo on it and get rid of the dead energy!  Yup, I did that!
  2. When I traveled to Morocco I was being misdirected by a "guide" so I got to the center of a square and started crying like a baby until someone who spoke English came to help me out of that mess.  I knew I was going to be a slave somewhere and they would have been very unhappy because I don't follow directions too good so I figured I should cry.
  3. I don't know how to do a cart wheel.  I was always afraid of flipping over so I just sat on the sidelines and watched.  Pretty exciting I know.
  4. When I moved into my house I had perfectly beautiful green grass.  I am so against mowing...translated: lazy...that I killed it and planted flowers.  Then Cicadas came and the weeds came after that, it has been a loosing battle ever since.  My neighbor and I have a shame on you pulling weeds event periodically...I'm one up.  Oh, how I long for the days of that beautiful green grass!  I really would love to have that HGTV show Curb Appeal come to my home and hook the outside up!  Does anyone out there have any connections?
  5. I love Twizzlers and normally eat them until I am sick.  I just don't feel satisfied until then.
  6. I can't drink milk by itself (I think it is gross) or without flavoring and neither can my mother.  I'm also lactose intolerant (TMI I know).  When I was a kid in camp I tried to tell the counselors that, they didn't believe me, so they made me drink it before my juice...needless to say it was not a pretty sight at the dinner table.  They never made me do that again and it was chocolate milk for dinner.
  7. I love, love, love Christmas movies!  I can't wait until Thanksgiving because my Tivo is set and ready to go!  I will tape almost everyone of them and watch them all!  They do my heart good and often times make me laugh.
Since I'm so late, I won't tag anyone but if you want to play along just join in.   Hey Char have you been tagged yet?

I love these photos! You were adorable and of course still are.

I love these tags as I really like seeing what I have in common.

I had our apartment in Brooklyn worked over by a feung shei - can't spell it - but you get it person.

Our lawn (i hate lawn) is slowly being removed and made way for weeds or as I call them 'really wild wanna be flowers)

I cannot stand milk - neither can Q and we only drink it if it is warm with a lot of chocolate.

I think this means we could all be roommates and live reasonably well together

oh and I love holiday movies and cry every single time the little bell rings on the tree next to Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed. Every single time.

I am with you on the Christmas movies. I cry every single time George Bailey says he is the richest man in town at the end of It's a Wonderful Life. I am considering only letting Amara watch Rudolph, the Grinch, etc once a year. Back when we were kids, before VCRs, TiVo and dvds, there was so much anticipation about the ONE time all year those movies were on tv. I think that is part of what made them special. Now that kids can watch them over and over again, I wonder if they still seem so special.

How eerie that we have the following in common:

1) Basement issues. Whenever we look at a house if the basement spooks me I'm done.

2) Twizzlers are my favorite candy and I eat them until I feel ill.

3) No milk for me...

4) I could never do a cartwheel either.

I leave the Christmas movies to my sister and son. They could celebrate Christmas everyday of the year. December people you know...

Cute Cute Cute pictures!! I love a nice lawn but hate maintaining mine (I need a MAN to do that!). I just borrowed my mom's lawnmower (my 1-yr old moer has conked out) to do the final cut & fertilizer of the year. That's one good thing about winter - no lawn maintenance!

Red or black (yuk) Twizzlers?

I love the fact that I have so many things in common with you guys...Haze, Twizzlers are awesome!

Dawn, my birthday is in June but my mother's birthday is in Dec. so maybe that is why I like Christmas movies , watching them with her.

Kristine, if things ever get too tight in DC at least I know that Baby I and I can live peacefully with your family! LOL We won't take up much space...well, maybe my mouth.

You were such a pretty baby. You don't look much different then and now. I can't wait to see the other ones as you grow up.

I hired a lawn cutting service. It's just too stressful watching it die. Great pics! Totally look like you still.

Thanks Valarie, but trust...the pictures go from good to bad then back again. You'll have PLENTY of laughs! LOL
