Bummed Out

I'm so happy all of my blog buddies are getting their referrals, passing court and picking up their children but I am sad.  I want my daughter home.  I know this process has taken me forever due to personal reasons but now, that I am ready, I want Baby I home. I'm hoping my dossier will be on it's way to Ethiopia at the end of the month but that means at least 6 months of referral waiting but probably more like 7 or 8 then 6-7 weeks for court then another few weeks for travel.  Yes, I'm pretty bummed...but I know it gives me more time for things I know I must accomplish before Baby I.

Hurry up documents!

I know what you mean - I'm so happy when I hear wonderful news from others, but I'm ready now, too! Hang in there.

I don't have any words to make you feel better - I remember too well how you are feeling now - I still feel that way watching others get travel dates. Adoption is a cruel process in so many ways. Thank God our children are at least spared our side of it.

I'm so with you! I'm so happy so really special people are getting to travel now, it truly helps me to live through them vicariously, but ugh with the process!

We're where you are. The homestudy was just finished , we're waiting for our fingerprint appointment and i'm about to pull out the dossier stuff, much of which has to re redone because i did it so early!

Hang in there, time is moving forward. reach out when you need to and complain and whine so that you get all of us sending you some love.

we'll get there.

Don't get bummed out and depressed (shaking my head no-no-no). As long as you are in heart-motion, trust, things are going at the pace that they are suppose to be going. You just continue to stay ENCOURAGED!

PS...In between the papers, have you started on Baby I's quilt?

I know you it is hard to believe right now but when you hold Baby I you will forget about the time it took to get her into your arms. It is only then that you will know that it was all worth it.

Stay encouraged! I think we all have these feeling at some point in the process. It is really NOT fun, and all the paper chasing and waiting just sucks. But hang in there, you are closer than you think!

Thanks for the kind words everyone! If you are connected to me on FB then you know my final homestudy is in and I'm just waiting for that and all my authentications to come back.

I know this is happening the way it is supposed to but... lol

You all are the greatest!
