Wow...it's official folks the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services says I can raise a child to their standards! I am so honored! Does that mean they will send me a baby shower gift too? I hope they send mine faster than I send out my gifts... (Note: Elsa's Mom sent me a lovely announcement weeks ago and I still have her gift sitting on my table! Hey, did I even say thanks? I suck rocks man, I admit it...head hanging low in shame).

Something like real
huh-oh....this process is getting something like real! Because guess what? My I-171H came in the mail today. Yup! It says, and I quote: it has been determined that you are able to furnish proper care to an ... (I hate the O word so I'm going to say child)... scary...scary...scary.

Congrats on the 171H!!!
Kerri and Ruby
This deserves a big WOOT!! Congratulations, Tami!
I remember staring at my letter stating I'm good enough to adopt a baby girl. Part of me was all "no sh*t Sherlock!" The other part was snivelling all over the place saying "Thank you, oh, thank you!"
I say you celebrate by going out and purchasing something 'real' for Baby I - maybe a crib??
Congrats girl you are on your way
Thanks guys! I will probably buy a crib but nothing until after my big event for my client on June 9. I'm swamped now! But can you believe it!?
YAY!!! I am so happy for you!!
Congrats!! It is a big milestone - and I had the same reaction, like it because a lot more real at that point.
Don't sweat the thank-you note things - I am SO SO behind I fear I'll never thank everyone who sent me things. Very depressing. But people (including me!) really do understand how hard it is to get them done. :-)
argh! just wrote a LONG comment and blogger ate it.
anyway, here's the short version:
1. congrats on the 171H!! that is BIG.
2. don't sweat the thank-you notes. people (including me) totally understand.
Another step forward- excellant!
I'm so happy for you. I right behind you!
It's official - Homeland Security has deemed you non-threatening to children. What a "favorable determination"! Congratulations! I celebrated by going out and eating too much.
Alright you are moving along. I know it felt good to get that.
Sooooo, I guess I should get started on my Dossier now? Heck, I reallllllly don't even have Gladney approval yet! LOL
CONGRATULATIONS...and you don't need Gladney approval to get started on your Dossier. Start gathering up your docs in between preparing for your client's event and then, after June 9th, you'll be closer to your dream!
Congrats, Tami! I've been keeping my eye on your blog for a while now- such great news! Time to do some celebrating....
Awesome, congratulations! Woot!
Cindy
